Volvo Car India ex-showroom prices hiked by 4%

Volvo Car India today announced its price hike for its range of models. Customers planning to buy one will have to pay up to 4 per cent more on the ex-showroom price. The price increase ranges from 1 lakh to 3 lakhs, depending upon the exact trim and model. The carmaker mentioned that the increase in input cost compelled them to make this decision.

This price is applicable from immediate effect. And hence the customers who have done their bookings prior to April 12 will get the benefit of price protection. All the bookings post- 12th April will go on sale with the price hike. The last price hike was announced at the beginning of the year. Since then, the disruption in the global supply chain and increasing logistic cost has further increased the input costs.

Price Hike In Details

Volvo India currently sells 4 models in the Indian market. XC40 being the most affordable Volvo, will now retail at INR 44,50,000 ex-showroom. This is a price hike of around 3 per cent. XC60 is also a popular choice amongst Indian customers. This SUV now gets a sticker price of INR 65,90,000 ex-showroom, which is a change of 4 per cent. S90 will now retail at the same price as the XC60, which is INR 65,90,000 ex-showroom which is 2 per cent costlier than the previous pricing. XC90 is the flagship model from Volvo India. This SUV is now listed at INR 93,90,000 ex-showroom, which is 3 per cent more than the previous pricing.

Volvo In India

For 2021, Volvo India posted positive growth of 27 per cent in terms of units sold. The Volvo XC40, Volvo XC60, Volvo S60 and Volvo S90 were among the top choices for the customers. To expand its market, Volvo is expanding its dealership network to new regions. The network has 24 dealerships spread across the country.

This includes Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi NCR – South Delhi, West Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Raipur, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, West Mumbai, South Mumbai, Pune, Raipur, Rajkot, Surat, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.
