Volkswagen Virtus deliveries in India cross 5,000 milestone in 2 months

The striking new Volkswagen Virtus has been the talk of the town. Ever since the sedan made its mark, it has received an overwhelming reception. Recently, VW India successfully delivered the 5000th Virtus in the country. This figure has come in just over two months. Since its market introduction in June 2022, the Volkswagen Virtus has revitalised the premium midsize sedan segment. With the reputation of VW, Virtus has gained immense popularity and appeal among Indian customers. 

Being a global product, Virtus embodies the core DNA of the Volkswagen brand of superior build quality, safety and a fun-to-drive experience. The Volkswagen Virtus, in such a short span, has clinched two records. First, it created the national record in the India Book of Records from Kerala alone. Then it achieved its global recognition in the Asia Book of Records from Gujarat by being the only sedan to be delivered to the maximum number of customers in a day.

Volkswagen Virtus – A Brief Overview 

The new Volkswagen Virtus is currently available across 152 sales touchpoints in India. Starting at an introductory price of INR 11.21 lakh (ex-showroom), the Virtus will appeal to a wide range of audiences. Recently, Volkswagen also announced the introduction of the Virtus under its Omni-channel mobility solutions. Furthermore, Virtus is also available under the Volkswagen Subscription and Power Lease model. This enables customers to choose from their preferred ownership models that are convenient and hassle-free.

 The Volkswagen Virtus is available with both the Dynamic and Performance Line. The globally acclaimed TSI technology by Volkswagen power the Virtus. Thus, the engine options include a 1.5l TSI EVO engine with Active Cylinder Technology (ACT) mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission for the Performance Line. The performance output of this motor reads as a peak power of 150 PS and peak torque of 250 Nm. The 1.0l TSI engine makes up for the Dynamic Line. This unit gets either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission. The performance of this motor is 115PS and 178 Nm of torque.

 The new Virtus is available in six exciting colour options. This includes Wild Cherry Red, Carbon Steel Grey, Reflex Silver, Curcuma Yellow, Candy White and Rising Blue.
