Volkswagen reveals interior render of 2021 Taigun SUV

The Volkswagen Taigun is getting ready for the market launch. The brand unveiled the exteriors of the Taigun on 31st March 2021 but at the time only the exterior features of the new SUV. Now, Volkswagen has released an image of the interior of the Taigun giving us a glimpse of how the car will look from the inside.

On the inside, the Volkswagen Taigun features a multi-layered dashboard with a wraparound effect, silver trim on the fascia and door trims, a gloss black embellishment on the passenger side fascia, flat-bottomed leather-wrapped steering wheel with controls, a large full-colour TFT screen with Active Info Display for the instruments cluster, a rotary knob for headlamp operation, a 24.5-cm Touchscreen Infotainment System with Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration, My Volkswagen Connect, type C-USB charging, electric sunroof, Ventilated Leather front seats, automatic climate control, air conditioning, ambient lighting etc.

Engine Specifications

The Volkswagen Taigun SUV will come with two engine options. A 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine and another 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol motor. The 1.0-litre engine is likely to be a three-cylinder unit that produces 115 PS of peak power and 175 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre engine could be a four-cylinder EVO unit that makes 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre TSI EVO engine features cylinder deactivation technology, improving fuel efficiency and reducing CO2 emission.

Volkswagen Taigun Platform & Size

The MQB-A0-IN platform, the Indianised version of the MQB (Modular Transverse Matrix) with up to 95% localisation level. The platform has been designed to meet the new emission requirements for India and increase production proficiency. The high level of localisation also helps the brand price the Taigun competitively. The Volkswagen Taigun features a 2651mm long wheelbase for roomy interiors.

Taigun Safety

The SUV features the new MQB-A0-IN platform which has been optimised for safety and also gets active and passive safety features. These include 6-airbags, Electronic Stability Control. As well as park distance control, Hill-Hold control, Tyre Pressure Deflation Warning system, ISOFIX, etc.
