Volkswagen launches Taigun & Virtus GT Edge Limited Collection in India

Volkswagen is on a launch spree. The German carmaker recently launched the manual transmission variant of the Virtus GT sedan. Now, it has also launched a limited edition version of the Taigun SUV and the Virtus sedan. Called the Edge Limited Edition, the cars are offered in two unique colour options.

Taigun & Virtus GT Edge Limited Collection : More Details

The Taigun Edge Limited Collection starts from INR 17.99 while the Virtus Edge Limited will set back owners by INR 17.09 lakh. Both prices ex-showroom.

The cars under this are offered in two new paint shades. These include the Deep Black Pearl or Carbon Steel Grey matte finish. Owners of the Taigun GT Plus DSG and GT Plus MT can configure these colours for their rides. Meanwhile the owners of the Virtus GT Plus DSG and GT Plus MT can opt for the Deep Black Pearl colour option.

Other details on the cars remain the same. Customers interested in this version will have to book their rides online. According to the carmaker, these variants will be made only on a made-to-basis order. Deliveries are expected to start from next month.

Virtus is the second car to use the dedicated MQB A0 IN platform. The first was the Taigun SUV. This platform has been designed for cars catered to the Indian conditions. Further, with the Virtus, Volkswagen aims to make a comeback in the sedan segment. The Virtus replaces the Vento in the company’s line-up, which was a popular offering in the market. Now the VW Taigun and the Virtus have their twins at the Skoda, Kushaq and Slavia share the same variants and powertrain options.
