Volkswagen India launches limited Matte Edition of Polo & Vento

Volkswagen India announces the launch of Matte Edition for Polo and Vento. This limited Matte edition of the Polo will only be available with the GT variant. Volkswagen has put on a sticker price of INR 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Polo Matte edition. Meanwhile, Volkswagen is offering two trims for the Vento, namely Highline AT and Highline Plus AT. These two trims will retail at INR 11.94 lakh (ex-showroom) and 13.34 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

Bookings and Warranty

The carmaker has confirmed that the bookings for the Matte edition will start from today, i.e. 5th October 2021. For the customers’ peace of mind, Volkswagen is offering the standard 4EVER Care package for this Matte edition of the Polo and Vento. This includes a 4-year standard warranty, 4-years road-side assistance (RSA) and 3-free services as a standard. Recently Skoda had also launched a similar special edition of the Rapid.

More Details

Both the products will get a glossy black finish for the ORVM and door handles in the exteriors. Meanwhile, the roof, fuel flap, front and rear bumper will have a Carbon Steel Grey Matte finish. There are no changes to the mechanicals, and hence the performance figures for this edition is the same as the regular trim. Both the cars use the Volkswagen Group’s 1.0-litre three-cylinder DOHC TSi engine. The output figure stands at 110 BHP of power and 175 Nm of torque.

This engine has received a lot of appreciation for its performance and tuning capability. The fun to drive factor pretty much reflects when driving a car with this engine. And it’s no surprise that Skoda Volkswagen Group is using this engine in so many cars. The list includes the likes of the VW Rapid, Kushaq, and Taigun, other than Polo and Vento.
