Mahindra XUV700 facelift – What to expect?

Mahindra XUV700 facelift

As far as the facelift of the XUV700 is concerned, it will probably feature a revised front fascia. The front design is likely to be inspired by the newly launched XEV 9e and the upcoming XUV700 Electric.

This means it will get a new set of LED headlamps with big vertical DRLs and a new nose design featuring a new front grille. While the test car has a similar body silhouette to the production version, the production version will get a new set of taillights and new alloy wheels.

On the inside, Mahindra is likely to offer an improved cabin design, which is also likely to get inspiration from the XEV 9e electric car. If so, the XUV700 facelift might offer a three-screen setup with a new two-spoke steering wheel design.

Powering the XUV700 facelift will be the current engine options, which include a 2.0L turbo-petrol and a 2.2L turbo-diesel. However, there are online rumours that Mahindra is working on a new petrol-hybrid engine, which can possibly be offered with the XUV700 facelift.

As far as the launch timeline is concerned, we suspect that Mahindra will bring it to the showrooms by the first quarter of 2026. The pricing will surely take a hike due to the new design and improved cabin features.

Our verdict

The new XUV700 facelift will offer a mid-life update to the SUV moniker which was launched back in 2022. The XUV700 has been a popular SUV in the segment, and with the addition of new features and revised design, we anticipate its demand to grow ever more.
