The upcoming Thar facelift test mule has been spied yet again. This time, the test car is spotted closely, revealing the front design details and interior changes. Read the complete details below.

Mahindra Thar facelift design and cabin details
Mahindra is silently working on an updated Thar model. It is highly likely to be a facelift with subtle design updates and a refreshed cabin design.
As seen in the frontal spy shot, the front end of the updated model is likely going to get a revised front grille, a set of new LED headlamps, and a revised bumper.
Moreover, the earlier spy shots had shown us that the rear end is also going to feature a set of new LED taillights, a revised bumper, and a new alloy wheel design.
Meanwhile, the close-up shot of the cabin shows that the updated Thar will get a host of changes and new features. The cabin layout looks similar to the Thar Roxx, as it gets a bigger infotainment screen, a new steering wheel, an updated instrument console, front ventilated seats, and a 360-degree camera.
However, apart from the cosmetic updates, the new Thar model is likely to remain unaltered mechanically. It will continue to be offered with a 2.2-litre diesel, a 1.5-litre diesel, and a 2.0-litre petrol engine.
While there are no official details yet, we believe it will launch early next year, and the pricing will also be more than the current Thar.
Our verdict
Launched back in 2020, the Thar SUV is nearing the first update lifecycle. The facelifted Thar will punch fresh flair of change to the popular SUV. Meanwhile, Mahindra is also developing a new strong hybrid powertrain, which is going to feature in the models like the XUV 3XO soon.
