Mahindra Bolero new-gen model latest details

New-gen Mahindra Bolero

As seen in the new spy shots, the upcoming Bolero test car has a grand outlook. It looks like an evolved version of a mix of the Land Rover Defender and the Scorpio N.

The heavily camouflaged car is seen with large and chunky 235-section R18 alloy wheels, which are likely carried over from the XUV700. However, these might have been fitted for testing purposes, and the production model will possibly get smaller wheels.

Moreover, the circular LED projector headlamp design is also faintly visible. The taillights are also vertically aligned, thus keeping the Bolero’s original design intact. The spare wheel mounted on the tailgate is also a full-size alloy wheel.

Meanwhile, the online source claims that the test car is equipped with a panoramic sunroof and a new cabin layout. The dashboard and the instrument console are also reported to be carried over from the mid-spec Scorpio N.

Some other interesting features of the test car include the flush-type door handles and the wide ORVMs that stick out of the body, just like the ones on the Defender.

New Gen Mahindra Bolero

Speaking of the powertrain options, we are assuming that it will continue using the 1.5-litre m-Hawk diesel engine. However, there are online reports that Mahindra is developing a new 1.2-litre petrol-hybrid, hence we can not deny the possibility of a petrol powertrain on the cards.

Mahindra is believed to debut the new-gen Bolero this year on August 15. The production model is likely to be launched before the end of 2025.

Our verdict

The Bolero name has been a home ground for Mahindra in the rural market. It is known for its utility and durability across the nation. However, with the new-gen Bolero, Mahindra will offer advanced tech and comfort features, which the current Bolero lacks.
