Hero Vida Z electric scooter – What to expect?
The Vida Z scooter is soon going to be a toned-down version of the Vida V2 scooter. As visible in the spy shots, the test mule has an identical design but with slight revisions like the redesigned front without the apron and a repositioned taillight.
The bright yellow test mule has black contrasting mechanical parts, including the engine components and the lower half of the scooter. Hinting at its affordability are its lower-specs that are visible through the photos.
It gets a single seat, black pillion grab rail, alloy wheels, dual shockers at the rear, telescopic suspension at the front, front disc brake, rear drum brake, etc.
In terms of features, the LED lights are already visible, and we anticipate that it will also get a TFT console, Bluetooth connectivity, and basic features like navigation, etc.
We assume that it will feature a battery pack similar to the Vida V2 Lite which is based on a 2.2 kWh pack that offers 94 km of range. While we are still unsure about its positioning in the electric lineup, it will definitely become an affordable offering.

Our verdict
All the rival brands, including Bajaj, TVS, and Athe,r have launched affordable offerings in the last year. However, even with the Vida V2 Lite, Hero is missing the sweet spot of pricing. This new scooter might change the fortune for the Jaipur-based company.
