Hero Vida VX2 – What to expect?

Hero Vida VX2

The upcoming Vida VX2 e-scooter was spotted in showroom guise at a dealership earlier this month. Now, Hero has officially released the first teaser of the VX2 e-scooter.

From the earlier spy photos and the new teaser, what we have concluded is that the VX2 will get a more rational design. It will be a family-centric offering with a rather simple and functional body design.

However, it will be a modern EV with features like LED lights, a TFT console, Bluetooth connectivity, and more. But, it will focus on cost-cutting as Hero will most likely position it below the Vida V2 series.

The earlier spy shots have showcased that it will get basic features like a manual key slot, a smaller TFT console than the V2, and maybe it will not have functions like Geofencing, etc.

Powering the Vida VX2 will be the same battery pack options and electric motor as the V2. Mind you, the base V2 Lite, which is currently priced at Rs 74,000, offers a 2.2 kWh battery pack. This and the bigger battery options can remain unaltered on the VX2.

As far as the launch is concerned, Hero has scheduled the unveiling and price announcement for July 1, 2025. We will get to know more details about it as we approach the debut timeline.

Our verdict

Hero has gradually understood the electric scooter market of India and how it is evolving as per the changing customer needs. Therefore, the company seems to have carefully crafted the VX2 to hit the sweet spot of affordability and functionality.
