BMW has been quietly working on its upcoming electric M3 sports car. The recent spy shots have surfaced online, showing the interesting details about it. Read all the details below.

BMW M3 Electric: What to expect?
As seen in the latest spy shots, the upcoming M3 Electric will feature a different design compared to the ICE M3. The camouflaged test car is seen with big wheel arches, which are designed to provide aerodynamic support.
Moreover, it is equipped with the new flush-door handles, which are not as boxy as the ones we see on the current-gen BMW cars. Meanwhile, the front fascia and the rear profile are nearly completely covered, as the lights are also not visible.
Looking at the dimensions of the car, it is clear that BMW is focusing on utility as well as performance with the M3 Electric. Moreover, the test car has 20-inch M-Sport wheels with brake rotors as big as the wheel itself. The brakes are speculated to be mounted on the axles for better heat dissipation.
A quick glimpse of the interior, which is unfinished as of now, shows a new dashboard, a new M-sport two-spoke steering wheel, Alcantara race seats, and some unfinished design queues, which are yet to be finalised.
Speaking of the powerplant, the details are scarce as of now, but we speculate that the M3 EV will get four individual motors, each mounted on every tyre. The total power output of the M3 EV can be 600-650 bhp, which shall make it the fastest BMW electric car ever made.
The expected launch timeline of the M3 EV is in 2027, and the brand is also reported to be developing the next-gen ICE model alongside it.
