TVS Motors has unveiled a brand new colour scheme on offer for its XL100 moped known as Coral Silk. Launched just prior to the Diwali festive season, TVS claims the new colour connotes positivity and optimism. TVS offers the Coral Silk colour exclusively for the XL100’s Comfort i-Touchstart variant in a satin-matte finish.
2021 TVS XL100: Design and Price
The XL100’s prices start from INR 41,015 (ex-showroom Delhi) and end at INR 52,334 (ex-showroom Delhi). TVS offers the moped in 5 different variants, namely Comfort, HeavyDuty, HeavyDuty i-Touchstart, HeavyDuty i-Touchstart Win edition, and Comfort i-Touchstart. Being TVS’ highest-selling product, the XL100 caters towards semi-urban and rural markets thanks to its affordable running costs and maintenance.
Built with a utilitarian design, the moped features a large footboard for luggage, a tall handlebar, a single-seat, and slim tires. Other design details include a halogen headlamp with an LED strip, turn indicators, and footpegs on both sides. TVS offers the Comfort i-Touchstart variant of the XL100 with a choice of 4 standard colours, including the new Coral Silk. The other standard colour options offered on the Comfort i-Touchstart include Mint Blue, Luster Gold, and Sparkling Silver.
2021 TVS XL100: Technical Specifications
Powering the TVS XL100 is a BS6 compliant, 99.7cc, 4-stroke, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine. It produces 4.4 PS of power and 6.5 Nm of torque whilst paired to a single-speed gearbox. The engine utilizes TVS’ EcoThrust Fuel Injection Technology (ETfi) for enhanced driveability and performance to ensure a smooth ride. Driven via a centrifugal wet clutch, TVS offers a set of 110mm dual drum brakes on the front and rear. The XL100 sports a Telescopic Hydraulic spring fork suspension up front and dual hydraulic shocks at the rear.

In terms of features, TVS offers the Comfort i-Touchstart variant of the XL100 with a USB connector for mobile charging. The moped sports its signature i-Touchstart system, which utilizes an Integrated Starter Generator Technology for instant and silent starts. Along with a primary instrument cluster, analogue speedometer, and odometer, the XL100 sports a petrol reserve indicator. The other notable feature includes the ON-OFF switch enabling the rider to start or stop the moped instantly.
