TVS Motor Company, one of the largest two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturers in the country released its sales report for the month of March 2021. The company claims to have sold a total of 322,683 units in March 2021, as against 144,739 units for the same period last year, which is about 123 per cent of year-on-year growth. In the two-wheeler segment, the growth comes to be around 130 per cent, as the company sold 307,437 units of two-wheelers in March 2021 as compared to 133,988 units in March 2020. The domestic market recorded a growth of 115 per cent with cumulative sales of 202,155 units for March 2021. TVS Motor Company is improving its sales figure in the global market as well, evident from the fact that the company exported 119,422 units in March 2021 as against 50,197 units in March 2020, which results in a staggering growth of 138 per cent.
Fourth Quarter Sales Report For Financial Year 2020-2021
In the fourth quarter of the financial year 2020-2021, the company registered a growth of 50 per cent in the two-wheeler segment increasing from 5.90 lakh units in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2019-2020 to 8.87 lakh units in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2020-2021. In the three-wheeler sales, TVS Motor Company registered sales of 0.41 lakh units in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2020-2021 as against 0.43 lakh units for the same period this fiscal year.
TVS Motor Exports From India Crosses 1,00,000 Units
The growing demand for two-wheelers in the certain international market is helping in increasing the export figure of TVS Motor Company. With a strong presence in the regions of Africa, South East Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, Central and South America. The company crossed the remarkable achievement of exporting 1,00,000 units of two-wheeler in March 2021. TVS mentioned that in the international market the products which are in huge demand include the Apache, the HLX Series and the Stryker Series. TVS Motor will continue to introduce its innovative products which will help them grab a bigger share in the market.
