TVS sold 3,14,639 two-wheelers in July 2022

TVS Motor Company has announced its sales performance for the month of July 2022. The two-wheeler maker registered a growth of 13 per cent in July 2022 with sales of 314,639 units. The figure stood at 278,855 units in the month of July 2021.

Two-Wheeler

Total two-wheeler sales registered a growth of 14 per cent for the given period. The sales increased from 262,728 units in July 2021 to 299,658 units in July 2022. Domestic two-wheelers accounted for a growth of 15 per cent. The sales rose from 175,169 units in July 2021 to 201,942 units in July 2022.

Furthermore, the motorcycle segment posted a growth of 8 per cent. The sales figure was 138,772 units in July 2021 as against 150,340 units in July 2022. At the same time, for the Scooters, TVS registered a growth of 49 per cent in sales. The figure increased from 73,811 units in July 2021 to 110,196 units in July 2022

TVS has also invested in strategic relationships to mitigate the issues concerned with the supply of semiconductors. And these efforts are yielding results, with improvements seen this month as well. Thus, the company is now confident that the supplies are improving further.

International Business

TVS’s total exports grew by 9 per cent from 103,133 units in July 2021 to 112,032 units in July 2022. Meanwhile, two-wheeler exports grew by 12 per cent. The figure was up from 87,559 units in July 2021 to 97,716 units in July 2022.

Three-Wheeler

In the Three-wheeler segment, TVS registered sales of 14,981 units in July 2022. This figure for July 2021 stood at 16,127 units.

Electric Vehicle

In the evolving EV Segment, TVS’s iQube Electric has received an overwhelming response. With the current trend, the future demand outlook is very positive. The company is also working on increasing its capacity. Currently, the monthly average sale is 2,908 units in Q1 2022. TVS sold a total of 6,304 units of TVS iQube Electric in July 2022. With more and more EVs hitting the roads, TVS will also look to upgrade its EV lineup and add more innovative products.
