TVS Raider 125 commuter crosses 3 lakh sales milestone

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

The TVS Raider 125 is back in the headlines for all the good reasons. With the Raider 125, TVS has got its second success story in the 125cc two-wheeler space. Like the NTorq, the Raider 125 has received an overwhelming response from customers. Currently, it has been a growth driver for the company.

Launched on September 16, 2021, the Raider is just 19 months old. In this short stint, the motorcycle has sold 3,16,130 units in the domestic market till end-March 2023. These figures from the last fiscal translate into average monthly sales of 19,948 units. This is a huge figure for a relatively new product, that too in the 125-cc segment.

Raider Sales Is A Major Part For TVS

Of the total 9,10,376 motorcycles sold by TVS sold in FY2023. The Raider 125 accounted for a good 26 per cent share. This is not at all bad for a product that’s just over a year old in this competitive Indian domestic market. Not to mention the Raider 125’s fair number of rivals. This includes the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar 125, Honda SP 125, Pulsar NS 125, CB Shine, and the Hero Glamour and Super Splendor.

Key Reasons Why Customers Are Liking The Motorcycle So Much?

One of the TVS Raider 125’s key talking points is its athletic-looking styling. The motorcycle carries a muscular tank, snazzy headlight, minimalist tail lamp and a split seat. A head turner in the crowd for sure.

Clearly, this specific styling has more than a hint of sportiness. This is when compared to the simple designs of most of its rivals. This radical outlook of the motorcycle is acting as a differential thus creating a cult fan following for the Raider 125.

Another key talking point with the TVS Raider 125 is the sheer number of features. Also to speak of the suspension setup. Other than the Bajaj Pulsar NS125, the Raider 125 is currently the only other 125cc motorcycle in India to benefit from a monoshock.

Recently, in October 2022, the TVS Raider 125 became the first in its segment to come equipped with a TFT cluster, voice recognition and a host of advanced connectivity tech features.
