Long-time TVS Racing factory rider Aishwarya Pissay has successfully won the National Rally Championship for the 5th time. By conquering the windmill farm stages of Kethanur, Tamil Nadu, Aishwarya Pissay secured her 8th overall Nation crown. Miss Pissay showcased her dominating performance in the Ladies class at the penultimate round of the FMSCI MRF Mogrip INRC. The Coimbatore Auto Sports Club, in cooperation with God Speed Racing, organized the two-wheeler racing event in 2021.
Career History and Future
During the Rally of Coimbatore, Aishwarya achieved her victory in all 4 stages and acquired a commanding lead. With 25 points in the bag, the 2019 World Cup Baja winner has achieved a total of 125 points. Aishwarya has also won 5 previous rallies and continues to defend her 5th INRC two-wheeler championship title. Sadly, the rider suffered an accident during the 2nd round of the World Cup title, conducted at Jordan in early 2021.
Aishwarya has to undergo surgeries for both her wrists but successfully came back into the competition after her rehab. Since the accident, Aishwarya has been unstoppable and has not lost a single race in the National Championship. The rider bravely conquered the daunting Rally of the Himalayas prior to the National Championship by considering it a warm-up. Last Sunday, the rider managed to clock in the fastest time in all 4 stages, securing her top spot amongst rivals.
The TVS Racing factory rider also managed to win the opening round in Hampi, followed by victories in other cities. Winning in Bengaluru, Puttur, Chikkamagaluru, and Coimbatore, Aishwarya secured her lead by achieving 125 points in the Ladies Championship. Aishwarya has stated that the final round being held at Nashik is of utmost importance to her racing career. Training to keep in shape and ensure peak physical fitness, Aishwarya aims to participate in international cross-country rallies in 2022.

Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS has announced the extension and expansion of its partnership with German luxury motorcycle manufacturer, BMW Motorrad. According to the partnership, the two brands will jointly develop new platforms and future technologies catering to electric vehicles.
