TVS Motor Company had recently announced the 1 lakh sales milestone in just 7-months for their popular scooter NTORQ 125 and now the company has received the ‘Scooter Of The Year’ award in India for the fiscal year 2018-19. All the NTORQ 125 models going forward will be sporting the ‘Scooter Of The Year’ emblem. The scooter has also achieved the 2-lakh sales milestone in less than 1-year since its launch.
The TVS NTORQ 125 is targeted towards the young crowd and boasts India’s first connected technology in a scooter. The NTORQ 125 gets features such as Bluetooth connectivity, navigation assistance, last parked location assist, caller identification and ride status share on social media platforms. The LCD display can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth technology and TVS also has a dedicated application for it available on Google Play.
In the engine department, the NTORQ 125 is powered by a 124.79cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC engine producing 9.4 PS of power and 10.5 Nm of torque coupled to an automatic CVT-i transmission.
For hardware, the scooter gets a rectangular tube type high-rigidity underbone chassis and rides on a telescopic front and hydraulic gas type coil spring shock absorber on the rear. The brakes on the TVS Ntorq 125 are a 220 mm hydraulic disc brake on the front and a 130 mm mechanical drum on the rear. The also has an option of mechanical drum brakes on the front and rear equipped with CBS.
A new colour – Matte Silver has been offered on the scooter to celebrate the Scooter Of The Year award. Additionally, the NTORQ 125 is offered in 3 Matte and 3 Metallic colour options which are as follows:-
- Matte Silver (NEW)
- Matte Yellow
- Matte White
- Matte Red
- Metallic Blue
- Metallic Grey
- Metallic Red
The Matte Silver colour option is only available with the Disc brake variant of the TVS NTORQ 125.
