TVS Ntorq 125 crosses 2 Million sales milestone in India

TVS Motor Company’s sporty 125cc scooter, the Ntorq 125, has achieved a major milestone by crossing 2 million unit sales in the Indian market as of May 2025. Launched in February 2018, the Ntorq was TVS’ first 125cc scooter and quickly became a favorite among young riders for its aggressive styling, peppy performance, and tech-loaded features.

The first million units took just over four years to sell, while the second million came in under three years—highlighting the scooter’s sustained popularity despite growing competition.

Sales performance and market share

In FY2025 alone, the scooter clocked 3,34,414 units, marking a 6% year-on-year growth. It accounted for 18% of TVS’ record 1.81 million scooter sales that year.

Since launch, the scooter has contributed 23% to’total scooter sales of the company, second only to the Jupiter, which holds a 61% share. The Ntorq also maintained its position as India’s fourth best-selling scooter, trailing behind the Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, and Suzuki Access.

On the export front, the Ntorq is TVS’ most exported scooter, with over 3.08 lakh units shipped overseas since launch.

Variants and features

TVS has kept the Ntorq lineup fresh with five variants:

  • Disc
  • Race Edition
  • Super Squad Edition
  • Race XP
  • XT

The Race XP variant offers a slightly more powerful engine with 10.2 hp and 10.8 Nm, while the others deliver 9.4 hp and 10.5 Nm. The XT variant features a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, while the rest get an LCD dash.

Prices range from INR 87,542 to INR 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making the the scooter a value-packed offering in the 125cc segment.

What’s next?: Ntorq 150 incoming

Building on the Ntorq 125’s success, TVS is preparing to launch the Ntorq 150 later this year. The new model will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160, targeting riders looking for more performance and sportier styling.
