The TVS XL 100 moped has been an icon. A two-wheeler which doesn’t really get spoken about much, but is consistent when it comes to the sales department. Now, TVS Motors has launched the XL 100 i-Touch Start variant in India priced at INR 36,109. This scooter comes with a few new features and cosmetic changes.
Based on the Heavy Duty version, the XL 100 i-Touch Start features an electric start function, USB charging socket for your phone and gets a new purple paint scheme. Apart from this, everything else remains pretty much the same.
Powering the XL 100 is a 99cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor producing 4.3 BHP of power and 6.5 Nm of torque matched to a single-speed gearbox. The moped gets split seats and one can remove the rear seat to allow for more luggage carrying abilities. The XL 100 i-Touch Start is also available in 6 other colours and makes it INR 2,450 more expensive than the standard Heavy Duty variant.
And guess what, there is no direct competition to the TVS XL 100. So no wonder it is the highest selling moped here in India.
