TVS launches Raider 125 drum brake variant at INR 84,469

TVS has launched the new drum brake variant of its popular Raider 125 motorcycle in the Indian market with a price tag of INR 84,469 ex-showroom. The new affordable variant comes with a drum brake setup on both ends and features two paint schemes Striking Red and Wicked black. Design wise, the motorcycle remains unchanged and it gets features similar to the other variants. However, the braking hardware on the much more affordable bike is now new.

Powertrain

Powering the TVS Raider 125 is a 124.8cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. The motor produces 11.2 BHP of power and 11.2 Nm of torque paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The Raider 125 in the drum brake variant also comes with telescopic front fork suspension as well as a mono shock on the rear. The drum brake variant also comes with a single-piece seat. The motorcycle variant also comes with LED headlight, an LCD driver’s instruments cluster and riding modes.

Features

The TVS Raider 125 measures 2070 mm in length, 1028 mm in height, 1326 mm. of wheelbase, 180 mm of ground clearance and 123 kg of kerb weight. The disc brake variant comes with a 240mm front disc and 130 mm mechanically operated drum on the rear. The drum brake variant features 130mm drum on both ends and the bike comes with a Synchro SBT braking system for safety. The Raider 125 also comes with 17-inch wheels and 80/100 front and 100/90 tyres. In higher variants, TVS also offers the Raider 125 with split seat version. The motorcycle is offered in a total of 4 colours – Fiery Yellow, Blazing Blue, Striking Red and Wicked black.

With the new affordable price tag the TVS Raider 125 will compete with Hero Xtreme 125R and the likes. The SX variant also gets a Forza Blue colour option. The Raider is also available in the Marvel Comics – Iron Man and Black Panther colourways.
