TVS launches Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 – Runs on Ethanol

TVS Motor Company has launched India’s first Ethanol based motorcycle – Apache RTR 200 Fi E100. The TVS Apache RTR 200 E100 is launched at the price of INR 1,20,000 and will be available in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka, along with the existing Apache range of models already on sale. TVS Apache is the brand’s flagship model and the Ethanol Concept was showcased in Auto Expo 2018 in Delhi. By launching the alternative fuel vehicle, TVS Motor Company has shown responsibility towards the green, eco-friendly future of mobility in India.

Ethanol is an oxygenated fuel that contains 35% oxygen and the fuel is domestically produced from renewable plant sources. Ethanol is non-toxic, biodegradable and safe to handle, transport and store. In addition, Ethanol also reduces nitrogen oxide emissions, carbon monoxide emissions, sulphur dioxide and particulate matter.

The TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 is powered by a 197.75cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve oil-cooled engine that produces 21 PS of power and 18.1 Nm of torque paired to a 5-speed gearbox and the bike can do a top speed of 129 kmph. The fuel delivery system is a closed-loop fuel injection system controlled by a 16-bit microprocessor and features a high-pressure twin spray fuel injector with Idling Air Control Valve and Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor as well as a Lambda sensor, Temperature sensor and a high-pressure fuel pump.

In the mechanical front, the bike comes with a Double Cradle Split SynchroStiff Frame and rides on Telescopic Front Forks and a Monotube Single Suspension on the rear.

The Ethanol powered TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 comes finished in White with a Green Ethanol decal.
