TVS Motor Company has officially teased the new Jupiter 125, hinting at a major design and feature upgrade. The teaser video showcases a redesigned rear profile, featuring a sleeker LED tail lamp and a stylish single-piece seat, giving the scooter a more premium and modern appeal2.
Design and feature upgrades
The 2025 Jupiter 125 is expected to receive several notable enhancements, including:
- Fully digital instrument console with SmartXonnect, offering Bluetooth connectivity, call/message alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation.
- All-LED lighting, including headlamp, DRLs, indicators, and tail light, improving visibility and aesthetics.
- ‘Follow Me’ headlamp and hazard lights, adding practicality for parking and emergency stops.
- Front fuel filler cap, allowing easy refueling without lifting the seat.
- Ample under-seat storage, ensuring space for a helmet, groceries, or office essentials.
Engine and performance
TVS is likely to retain the tried-and-tested 124.8cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering 8 BHP and 10.5 Nm of torque. The iGO Assist version may offer 8.44 BHP and 11.1 Nm, improving low-speed maneuverability.
Both variants will be paired with a CVT gearbox, ensuring smooth acceleration and effortless city riding.
Market position and expected launch
The Jupiter 125 facelift will compete with the Honda Activa 125, Hero Destini 125, and Yamaha Fascino. Given the feature additions, TVS may slightly increase pricing, with the base model expected to start around INR 85,000 (ex-showroom).
