TVS has announced a new milestone for its iQube electric scooter. The Hosur-based bike maker has sold over 1,50,000 units of the iQube.
Furthermore, in the month of July 2023, the EV managed sales of 13,306 units. In the same period last year, the scooter could manage only 6,304 units.
In India, TVS iQube is available at over 316 touch points across 196 cities. It is also available in Nepal. iQube is the only EV offering from TVS. It has been receiving an overwhelming response from the customers. With a steady increase in demand, TVS iQube has posted a total sales of 1,50,000 units.
TVS confirmed that iQube Electric has successfully transitioned to AIS156 phase 2. The production for April 2023 was stagnant due to the AIS156 changeover and supply chain challenges. But TVS Motor is hoping to ramp up the sales figure from the month of May 2023. The two-wheeler maker also confirmed that the order book for TVS iQube continues to remain strong.
TVS iQube and TVS iQube S variants get the TVS Motor-designed battery specification of 3.4 kWh. With this, it delivers a practical 100 km on-road range per charge. It also gets a long list of features as per 2022 standards. This includes a 7 inch TFT display, HMI controls and reverse parking. The top-of-the-line variant, TVS iQube ST uses the TVS Motor-designed 5.1 kWh battery pack. It delivers the best-in-class 140 km of on-road range per charge.
