Key highlights

  • TVS iQube has sold over 3 lakh units in just 12 months, reflecting a sharp rise in demand.
  • The electric scooter now contributes 15% to TVS’s total scooter sales, with a growing footprint in both metro and non-metro markets.
  • TVS has surpassed 6.26 lakh cumulative iQube wholesales, with retail sales nearing 5.6 lakh units since launch.

TVS Motor Company’s electric scooter, the iQube, has achieved a major milestone by crossing 3 lakh unit sales in under a year. This rapid growth highlights the scooter’s rising popularity and TVS’s strong position in India’s electric two-wheeler market.

Launched in January 2020, the iQube took over three years to reach its first 1 lakh sales. However, the pace has accelerated dramatically. The second lakh came in just 10 months, and the third in less than 12 months, bringing the total to over 6.26 lakh units dispatched to dealerships by May 2025.

Retail sales and market share surge

According to Vahan data, TVS has sold 5,58,461 iQubes at retail since launch, excluding Telangana. In FY2025 alone, the iQube clocked 2,37,911 units, marking a 30% year-on-year growth. This performance gave TVS a 21% share of India’s electric two-wheeler market, second only to Ola Electric.

The iQube’s contribution to TVS’s overall scooter sales has also grown. In FY2025, it accounted for 15% of the company’s 18.13 lakh scooter sales, which include models like the Jupiter, NTorq, and Zest.

What’s driving the demand?

The iQube’s appeal lies in its family-friendly design, connected features, and practical range. It offers:

  • Full-LED lighting and TFT display
  • Smart connectivity with navigation and alerts
  • Decent storage and wide seating

TVS has also expanded its charging infrastructure and dealership network, making the iQube more accessible across India.

Looking ahead

TVS has kicked off FY2026 on a strong note. The iQube topped monthly retail sales in April and May 2025, and early June numbers suggest it may retain the crown. With demand rising in both urban and rural markets, the iQube is poised to cross the 7 lakh mark soon.
