TVS Apache RTR series gets SuperMoto ABS

Written by Parichay Malvankar

As the end of March is just around the corner, every two-wheeler manufacturer has to update their products with either ABS or CBS. Now, TVS has announced that all of their Apache series motorcycles have been equipped with ABS. The brand claims that the Apache RTR 160 2V, Apache RTR 160 4V and Apache RTR 180 now benefit from a new-generation Super Moto ABS system developed with a special algorithm for optimum performance.

The Super Moto ABS mentioned above in simple terms means that these bikes get a single-channel ABS system working only on the front wheels. This will enable sharper braking and safer braking via the front wheel, without the risk of locking the wheel and encountering a skid while riding the bike.

Apart from this, the Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 gets a dual-channel ABS with RLP (Rear wheel Lift-off Protection).

All bikes are available on sale across all TVS showrooms.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V ABS also gets a few new features for 2019. The bike has been updated with a new backlit speedometer, new seats, new handlebar end dampeners and TVS Racing decals.
