TVS announces extension of service & warranty period in India

TVS Motor Company is the latest entrant to the list of automotive companies announcing their service and warranty extension. The company indicated a customer-centric move to help fight the 2nd wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The sporadic lockdowns across various States are restricting the people’s movement.

Thus, most of the customers are not able to avail the scheduled services and warranty of their vehicles. TVS Motor Company stated that it has informed all its dealer partners to extend the free service and warranty till June 30th 2021, which were due in the period. This move will surely provide relief for the customers looking to service their vehicles amidst the pandemic.

Along with this service extension, TVS Motor Company also launched a slew of initiatives to fight the ongoing pandemic. A toll-free number 18002587111 is open from 8 Am till 8 Pm to register all the customers’ queries. Customers can also reach out to the service support time via email at customercare@tvsmotor.com regarding any question or concern. TVS made sure that their Roadside Assistance team is working to its full potential in these uncertain times. The company confirmed that their RSA team is accessible 24×7 and will provide support wherever legally possible. This service is free of cost for the enrolled members, and others can avail of this by paying the charges.

The company had plans to supply over 2,000 oxygen concentrators to various Covid-19 health care centres. Along with these, TVS Motor Company took various other initiatives. It had pledged INR 40 Crore along with Sundaram Clayton to help the nation fight the deadly virus. The funds will help in the procurement of PPE kits, medicines, oxygen concentrators and other essential medical equipment. Recently, it was rumoured that Norton is filing new patents in India. Hence, Norton could soon launch the Commando, Atlas, Max and Fastback for the Indian market. TVS Motor Company had acquired Norton Motorcycle in an all-cash deal worth 16 million in April 2020.
