Triumph Trident 660 price hiked by INR 50,000, now available for INR 7,45,000

British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has announced a price hike of INR 50,000 for its entry-level roadster, the Trident 660. From February 1st 2022 onwards, the Trident 660 will end up costing INR 7,45,000 (ex-showroom) in India. Triumph India launched the Trident 660 for the Indian market during April 2021, priced at INR 6,95,000 (ex-showroom). Since its launch a year ago, the Trident 660 has received a phenomenal response from enthusiasts in India.

2022 Triumph Trident 660: Design DetailsĀ 

Highlighting its unique style, the Trident 660 sports sculpted knee cut-outs and lightweight, aluminium five-spoke alloy wheels finished in black. The bike sports a distinctively sporty and muscular stance thanks to the minimalist rear end with a swingarm-mounted number plate hanger. Along with contrast-painted radiator cowls, yokes and heel guards, the bike sports body-coloured fork protectors, tapered aluminium handlebars and teardrop-shaped mirrors.

Additionally, the bike sports an inset aluminium Trident 660 badge with diamond-machined detail lettering and a fuel-cap mounted Triumph badge. The Trident 660 comes in Crystal White or Sapphire Black colours with contrasting decals or Matt Jet Black and Matt Silver Ice. Triumph also offers a Silver Ice and Diablo Red colour scheme with Triumph branding on the bike’s TFT instrument display.

2022 Triumph Trident 660: Technical Specs & FeaturesĀ 

The Trident 660 features Triumph’s signature triple-cylinder engine with 660cc of displacement and 12-valve DOHC engine architecture. Thanks to liquid-cooling and electronic fuel injection, the engine produces 81 PS and 64 Nm via a 6-speed manual gearbox. Along with a wet, multi-plate, slip clutch, the bike sports a Stainless steel 3 into 1 header exhaust system. Triumph has equipped the Trident 660 with a tubular steel perimeter frame, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a 14-litre fuel tank.

For comfort and handling, the bike sports 41mm, inverted Showa front forks and a Show rear monoshock RSU. Braking performance comes courtesy of twin 310mm, floating front discs and a single 255 disc at the rear with ABS. Triumph has also equipped the bike with Nissin hydraulic callipers, all-LED lighting and multi-functional instruments with colour TFT display. Triumph has also equipped the bike with Road and Rain riding modes, switchable traction control, and electronic throttle control.
