Triumph India is offering a big discount of Rs 18,000 on its most affordable offering Speed T4. The bike is now available at Rs 1.99 lakh ex-showroom. Read the complete details of the Speed T4 below.

Launched last year, the Speed T4 is Triumph’s most affordable motorcycle in India. It is based on the Speed 400 but features lower-spec hardware and a de-tuned engine for a better city riding experience.
The bike was initially launched at a Rs 2.17 lakh price tag but due to lower sales volume, Triumph has cut its price for a limited period. The ongoing discount of Rs 18,000 has brought its ex-showroom price to Rs 1.99 lakh. The new price makes the Speed T4 an even better deal than before.
Speaking of the differences between the T4 and Speed 400, it gets the same 399cc liquid-cooled engine but it generates only 30.6 bhp of peak power and 36 Nm of peak torque. The de-tuned engine from the Speed 400 is more tractable for city riding as it requires fewer gearshifts. The Speed T4 uses the same 6-speed transmission as the Speed 400.
In terms of hardware, Triumph has equipped the T4 with standard telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The instrument console is unchanged as it is carried over from the Speed 400. It is a semi-digital unit that offers Bluetooth connectivity and SMS/call alerts.
The primary rival of the Speed T4 is the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, which is the segment-topper in terms of sales volume. Royal Enfield is also readying an update for the Hunter 350 that is scheduled to roll out by the end of this year.

Triumph Speed T4 offers an extremely good value for its price tag. It is only a handful bucks costlier than the Hunter 350 and it offers a bigger and powerful engine performance. Moreover, the quality and fit-finish of the Speed T4 is exceptional as per the segment standards.
