Quick Overview
- Triumph unveils Baja Orange Speed T4 at INR 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Same 400cc engine with 31 PS and 36 Nm torque
- TR series grows 30% YoY, now ranks #2 in modern classic segment
Triumph Motorcycles India has added a new splash of colour to its best-selling Speed T4. The Baja Orange edition enters the market at INR 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom), keeping the motorcycle’s performance unchanged but giving it a bold new attitude. This marks the first 400cc motorcycle in the segment to wear the iconic Baja Orange hue, previously seen on the Scrambler 1200 XE and Street Triple 765 R.
Speed T4: A classic soul with modern intent
The Triumph Speed T4 continues to draw from the brand’s modern classic lineage. With a 400cc TR-series engine tuned for 31 PS at 7,000 rpm and 36 Nm at 5,000 rpm, it offers strong low-end torque between 3,500–5,500 rpm. The motorcycle remains accessible yet engaging, with features like a slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, and 43 mm telescopic forks.
The new Baja Orange variant also gets visual tweaks. A new frame colour, updated tyre stripe pattern, and a brushed steel exhaust elevate the overall aesthetic. The signature 3D Speed T4 badge still sits proudly on the tank, unchanged and unbothered.
Segment momentum and market strategy
Triumph’s 400cc lineup—comprising the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X—has grown by 30% YoY in FY25. The Speed T4 has doubled its volume since its launch in late 2024 and now holds the second spot in the classic motorcycle segment, only trailing Royal Enfield.
This success comes at a time when rivals like the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda H’ness CB350 are also sharpening their game. While the Classic 350 continues to bank on legacy, the Speed T4 offers a youthful alternative with its agile handling and refined motor.
A colour with a story
Baja Orange isn’t just another colour—it’s a call to the open road. Inspired by desert dawns and golden hour rides, it aims to stir the soul of a new generation of riders. While performance remains unchanged, the visual upgrade helps Triumph differentiate itself in a crowded market.
