Triumph has unveiled its new limited edition Triumph Rocket 3 models in the international market. These bikes are offered in R and GT trim levels. The bikes are aesthetically distinct versions of their regular counterparts. Also, homage has been paid to the renowned stuntman Evel Knievel by giving the bike graphics that resemble his jumpsuit.
Triumph Rocket 3: Design and feature
The bike gets a chrome-finished fuel tank, which has a star-adorned design along with black stripes. The fuel tank also has the “Triumph” emblem. Triumph has given these models a unique screen start-up animation and a gold laser-etched cam cover plate featuring Evel Knievel’s distinctive emblem to demonstrate their authenticity. A hardback book detailing the stuntman’s career and the Triumph models he used to execute his wild stunts is also given to owners of these bikes.
The basic Rocket 3 R and GT’s mechanical characteristics are still in place. The GT trim leans towards being a cruiser. It gets a taller flyscreen, a pillion grab rail, and footpegs. On the other hand, the R trim is more of a roadster model.
For improved stability, both variants have traction control, Hill Hold assistance, and cornering ABS. Road, rain, sport, and rider-configurable are the four riding modes that are included with both. The electronic cruise control function is installed as standard function.
Triumph Rocket 3: Engine
The Rocket 3 gets a 2,500 three-cylinder engine. This is the biggest powertrain on any production motorcycle ever and has long been the primary talking point. This enormous engine unit generates an incredible 221 Nm of peak torque in addition to 165 bhp of impressive power.
Triumph Rocket 3: Price
The Rocket 3 R and GT are sold by Triumph in India at ex-showroom costs of INR 21.99 lakh and INR 22.59 lakh, respectively. The Evel Knievel version of the bike is not likely to make it to our shores.
