Bajaj Auto is known for their super efficient, low-cost manufacturing abilities in the world of two-wheelers. They have already set an example and benchmark with KTM, and today, British brand Triumph Motorcycles and Bajaj Auto together have shared more details about their alliance. This will be a non-equity partnership where only cost-effective Triumph motorcycles will be manufactured by Bajaj, and no high-capacity Bajaj motorcycle is expected anytime soon. This partnership between Triumph and Bajaj will focus on mid-capacity motorcycles initially.

Our guess is, that Triumph would love to fight it out with Royal Enfield and bring along a modern classic as soon as possible. Expect a motorcycle with engine capacity in the range of 200cc – 750cc with a twin-cylinder layout. A bold statement was made today that pricing of this new Triumph motorcycle would be under INR 2 lakh, which would give almost every two-wheeler brand here in India a run for their money. The bikes are expected to be launched by 2022.

Triumph and Bajaj have started work on an all-new engine platform and both the brands are involved in the design and engineering of the new range of motorcycles. These new set of Triumph bikes Made-in-India will also be sold globally.

Also, going ahead, Bajaj Auto will take care of sales & distribution of all Triumph motorcycles in India and some other key markets abroad. Triumph will also retail the new bike Made-in-India worldwide.

Triumph and Bajaj have revealed that these new 200cc – 750cc motorcycles will spawn multiple body styles and will be absorbed across different two-wheeler segments. As of now, Triumph has the Bonneville modern classic motorcycle which is the most affordable model you can buy in India while Bajaj Auto has the Dominar 400 as their flagship motorcycle. Exciting times for sure to be a motorcycle enthusiast here in India, and even around the world as these new range of motorcycles will surely be affordable to all…
