Triumph launches new online accessory configurator for its motorcycles in India

Written by Nizam Shaikh

British motorcycling brand Triumph has launched a new configurator through the digital sales network which allows the customer to customize and configure the Triumph motorcycle and directly send the customisation options to the dealer. The new configurator also allows the buyer to view the accessory on the motorcycle in a graphical representation and the price of the accessory which will be added to the price of the motorcycle.

Through the configurator users also have access to a plethora of accessories available for the Triumph range of motorcycles. In India, Triumph offers a wide range of motorcycles from Modern Classics to Adventure Tourers and in all, there are 16 models and more than 180 accessories to choose from. Different Triumph motorcycles have a different set of accessories to suit the type of motorcycle.

Triumph also offers ‘Kits’ for the Triumph motorcycle which are a pre-selected set of accessories depending on the genre. The pre-selected kits, for example, include ‘Safety Pack’ which consists of crash protectors, alarmed locks, etc depending on the accessory available for the particular motorcycle. Once the buyer customises their motorcycle the configuration can be directly sent to the dealership which can then keep the accessorised motorcycle ready for delivery making it a hassle-free process.

On the new configurator, accessories for the upcoming Triumph Trident 660 can also be viewed giving prospective customers a chance to check the desired accessories and order them in advance. While Triumph has started to accept bookings on the Trident 660 with the amount of INR 50,000, the brand has not yet revealed the price on the iconic triple engine motorcycle.

The Triumph Trident 660 will be powered by a 660cc three-cylinder liquid-cooled 12-valve DOHC motor that produces 81 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The premium naked roadster is expected to be the most affordable three-cylinder Triumph motorcycle in the Indian market. The motorcycle is expected to arrive at dealerships in January 2021.
