Triumph launches 1,200cc Speed Twin in India at INR 10.99 lakh

Triumph has launched the 2021 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 in the Indian market at the price of INR 10.99 lakh ex-showroom. The new Speed Twin expands the iconic British brand’s modern classic portfolio bringing a new roadster design and high performance. The motorcycle is available in three colour options – Jet Black, Red Hopper and Matt Storm Grey. 

2021 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 – Engine Specifications 

Powering the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 is a 1200cc 270-degree crank angle parallel-twin engine. The liquid-cooled, 8-valve SOHC engine produces 100 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection and 6-speed transmission with a wet, multi-plate torque-assist clutch. 

2021 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 – Design Highlights

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 features modern-classic looks with rounded headlights and a peanut-shaped fuel tank with knee recesses. The bike also features a twin-pod instruments cluster with an analogue tachometer and speedometer along with a digital MID. The engine comes with a black-out finish with a machine finish on the head and brushed stainless steel 2 into 2 exhaust systems with twin silencers. The Speed Twin 1200 also comes with a chopped front fender, a minimalist rear fender and a bench-style seat. The bike also gets a tapering handlebar and bar-end mirrors.

2021 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 – Mechanical Features

The Speed Twin 1200 comes with a tubular steel frame with steel cradles that ride on 43mm USD Marzocchi forks with 120mm of travel. The bike also gets twin RSUs with adjustable preload that provides 120mm of travel. The bike also features 320mm discs with Brembo M50 4-piston radial monobloc callipers. The motorcycle features a 220mm disc Nissin 2-piston floating calliper equipped with ABS. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod in 120/70 ZR17 front and 160/60 ZR17 road-biased tyres. The bike comes with a 1413 mm wheelbase and an approachable 809 mm seat height. The Speed Twin 1200 also comes with a 14.5-litre fuel tank and weighs 216 kg (wet weight).
