Triumph acquires electric motorcycle manufacturer OSET Bikes

British bike manufacturer, Triumph has announced the acquisition of the electric motorcycle manufacturer OSET Bikes. This is a part of the brand’s wider plan of offering a full range of off-road motorcycles for a new generation of motorcycle riders. In 2020, Triumph announced that it will enter the off-road segment. Hence, this is a step from Triumph towards achieving the same.

Triumph Motorcycles celebrates 120 years of motorcycle manufacturing in 2022. It is the largest British motorcycle manufacturer, with over 81,500 bikes sold in 2021 and over 700 dealerships worldwide. The upcoming off-road products from Triumph will draw even more customers to the brand.

Triumph’s Acquisition Of OSET Bikes

The acquisition of the brand sits within Triumph’s future strategy. Furthermore, this will allow both companies to share and benefit from each other’s knowledge. Thus, enabling both the brands to grow internationally in parallel.

The Hinckley-based brand’s philosophy, For The Ride, played an important role in this acquisition. It enables Triumph to inspire future generations of riders by providing them with the perfect starting point to develop their passion and dreams.

Triumph says it is excited about the opportunity of joining forces with OSET Bikes. The company further adds that the two brands will continue to work independently. However, they will collaborate on new state-of-the-art products to inspire young riders into off-roading.
