Toyota Yaris ‘J’ trim launched at INR 9.12 lakh on Government eMarket

Toyota Kirloskar Motors has announced that the Toyota Yaris sedan will be available on Government eMarket (GeM) place in the J Grade petrol manual trim priced at INR 912,382 plus Freight charges & taxes based on the location. The Toyota Yaris at the GeM is available in Super White exterior paint as standard, while other colours are available on request. 

In terms of styling, the Toyota Yaris features a wide and low set front fascia with a gloss black grille, black lower air intakes, a sharp air dam design, upswept fog lamp inserts in black, rounded bumper-mounted fog lamps, wraparound headlight units with auto headlamp function, LED daytime running light integrated on the bumper, raised bonnet ridges, flared wheel arches, diamond-cut alloy wheels, chrome door handle, shark-fin antenna, wraparound tail lamps with LED line guide. 

On the inside, the Toyota Yaris features dual-tone interiors with waterfall design on the centre console, manual heating and air conditioner, fabric seat upholstery, Optitron instrumentation, multi-information display with eco indicator and cooled glove box. The top-spec variant also features a 7.0-inch LED touchscreen infotainment, USB, AUX, fully automatic climate control and leather upholstery. 

The Toyota Yaris is powered by a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre four-cylinder 16-valve dual VVT-i petrol engine that produces 107 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 7-speed Super CVT-i. In terms of safety, the Toyota Yaris features all four disc brakes, 7-airbags, ABS+EBD, brake assist and other standard automotive safety features such as reverse sensors, speed alert warning, seat belt reminder etc.

GeM started in 2016 and is the official eMarket dedicated to procuring goods and services for Government organisations and Public Sector Units (PSUs). The brand has further announced that the Toyota Yaris will be available from June 2020. 

In other news, Toyota has launched the BS6 emissions-compliant model of the Toyota Camry at the price of INR 37.88 Lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The BS4 predecessor was INR 93,000 cheaper than the 2020 Toyota Camry at INR 36.95 Lakh ex-showroom and the price hike is due to new components that make the 2020 Camry BS6 compliant and new financial year price revisions.
