Toyota has finally launched the much-awaited CNG variant of its popular Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV in India. This variant now joins the petrol and hybrid options already available. The new variant retails with a price tag of INR 13.23 lakh for the S trim and goes up to INR 15.29 lakh for the G trim. Both these trims are only available with a manual transmission. Thus, there is no automatic on-offer with the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Bookings for the CNG variants of the Hyryder are already open since November 2022

Given the continuous ups and downs in petrol prices in the country, CNG makes so much sense. In fact, CNG also gives the feel of saving the environment with limited carbon footprint release. In fact, along with Toyota, a host of other carmakers are also getting increasingly interested in launching their CNG products.
Key Highlights Of Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG
Some of the key features of the SUV include 17-inch Alloys, 9-inch Smart Playcast Touchscreen Audio, 6 Airbags, Cruise Control and Toyota i-Connect.
With this CNG trim, the Hyryder is available in three powertrain choices – CNG, petrol and strong hybrid. The Japanese carmaker also announced the launch of Glanza CNG in November. All in all, Toyota now has two CNG products in its Indian lineup now.
The new CNG variant of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder uses a 1.5-litre K-series engine matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox. This powertrain delivers a claimed fuel economy of 26.6 km/kg. The Hyryder CNG is only available in mid-spec S and G trim. This Urban Cruiser Hyryder is the second compact SUV in India to get factory-fitted CNG after the Maruti Grand Vitara.
