Toyota to focus on Northeast India

Japanese marque Toyota plans to enhance operations in Northeast India considering the growth rate in the region has been double the national average of 3%.

The Northeast region is growing at a rate of 6% and the second half of the year is expected to be much stronger as well. Toyota plans to set up a regional office in Guwahati in the near future. Currently, the Northeastern region is operated from Kolkata.

Toyota also revealed that as of date, the petrol to diesel sales ratio stands at 45:55.

Toyota sells around 150 cars a month in the Northeast. They offer the entire range of cars here which includes the Etios Liva, Etios Cross, Etios, Innova, Fortuner, Camry, Land Cruiser etc. Toyota has six dealerships in the region which include Guwahati, Nagaon, Silchar, Dibrugarh, Dimapur and Shillong.
