Toyota Kirloskar Motor, also known as TKM, has sold a total of 19,693 units for the month of July 2022. This, when compared to the July 2021 figure, results in a growth of 50 per cent. For July 2021, the sales figure stood at 13,105 units. In terms of month-over-month sales, TKM registered a growth of 19 per cent over its wholesales of 16,500 units sold in June 2022. July 2022 sales figure is also TKM’s highest ever wholesales in a single month, ever since it started operations in India.

Currently, the portfolio includes the likes of Innova Crysta, Fortuner and the Legender. The entry-level offerings – Glanza and Urban Cruiser, also continue to add significant sales to their respective segment. Serving a niche segment, the Camry Hybrid and Vellfire, too, continue to garner healthy customer orders.

Toyota Hyryder – The Start Of The Hybrid Era

TKM has been quite positive about its sales performance for the July figure. The unveiling of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder marks Toyota’s endeavour toward mass electrification in India. The SUV has received quite an overwhelming response from the customers and media alike. With the demand running high for electric vehicles, Toyota is taking the route of hybrid options. This self-charging strong hybrid electric vehicle negates the charging issues. At the same time, it also offers customers the feeling and benefits of an EV.

Toyota’s Hyryder is set to arrive at the showrooms this month. Toyota has already started off with the bookings for this SUV. Interested customers can visit their nearest Toyota dealership or use the online channel via Toyota’s official website to book their interest. Toyota also mentioned that the local manufacturing of the SUV will cater to both the domestic as well as overseas market. Thus, once the sales are on, we would expect a further boost in the sales figure for TKM.
