Toyota sold 18,670 cars in March 2023

TKM sold 1,74,015 units in FY 2022-23, a growth of 41 per cent over last year. In March 2023, the company sold 18,670 units, a YoY growth of 9 per cent. In the last quarter of FY 2022-23, TKM posted sales of 46,843 units, a 41 per cent increase YoY. Major contributions came from Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, The New Innova Crysta and Hilux.

TKM Garnering Positive Sales Growth

TKM is pleased with the positive sales results and expects continued growth in FY 2024-2025. TKM made deeper inroads into the market by introducing new products, newer, greener, and more advanced technology options. The company also reached closer to customers, enabling continued growth momentum.

TKM mentioned that it is grateful for customers’ growing interest in all product offerings. The Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hilux are gaining popularity. The New Innova Crysta Diesel contributed to achievements in March’23. Segment leaders like Fortuner and Legender remain undisputed, while Camry Hybrid, Vellfire, and Glanza also sustained positive sales momentum.

TKM remains optimistic about an even better year and will continue to closely serve customers, strengthening long-term value-based relationships.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder In Much Demand

A media report states that the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder has a waiting period of up to 20 months. The SUV was launched in September last year and is available in mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid powertrains. ‘Neo Drive’ variants have a waiting period of around 7 months, while hybrid variants have a waiting period of up to 20 months from the day of booking.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder shares its underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and is available with a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid and a 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain. The Innova Crysta and Innova Hycross also have long waiting periods, with delivery taking around 16 weeks for Innova Crysta customers and up to 26 months for those opting for the Hycross.

Toyota temporarily stopped taking bookings for the top variants of the Innova Hycross last week due to supply chain issues.
