The Toyota Urban Cruiser is based on the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and on its exteriors the Urban Cruiser features a silhouette similar to the Vitara Brezza but Toyota is likely to add differentiation factors such as redesigned front bumpers, redesigned radiator grille etc, but other than these subtle changes much of the SUV is likely to remain similar to the Vitara Brezza. The Urban Cruiser features Dual Chamber LED Projector Headlamps with Dual Function daytime running lights, Trapezoidal Fog Lamp design and optional 16-inch Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels. The Toyota Urban Cruiser will be available in 6 Monotone colour options – White, Grey, Silver, Blue, Brown, Orange and 3 Dual-Tone options – Brown with Black roof, Orange with White roof and Blue with Black roof.

The brand also revealed the interiors of the Urban Cruiser which receives highlights such as dual-tone dark brown interiors, dark brown upholstery and silver trim on the dashboard fascia and door pads, Smart Playcast touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity along with Smartphone-based Navigation system, Push Button Engine Start/Stop, control mounted steering wheel, Cruise Control, Automatic climate control AC, Auto-dimming Electrochromic rearview mirror (IRVM) etc.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser will be powered by a BS6 emission compliant ‘K-Series 1.5 litre four-cylinder Petrol Engine’ with an ISG- Integrated Starter Generator motor coupled to a Lithium-Ion battery that provides torque-assist and comes matched to a choice of manual and automatic transmission options.
