Toyota records highest-ever Monthly sales of 20,410 units In May 2023

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has posted its May 2023 sales report. The carmaker has achieved its highest-ever monthly sales. The figure for the period stood at 20,410 units in May 2023. This compares to the 10,216 vehicles sold during the same period in 2022. With these figures, the company witnessed a year-on-year growth of 110 per cent. For the Indian domestic market, Toyota’s May 2023 sales stood at 1,9379 units. Meanwhile, for the international market, the exports stood at 1,013 units for May 2023.

Sales Report In Details

For your context, Toyota sold a total of 15,510 units in April 2023. Thus, Toyota posted a month-on-month growth of 31.5 per cent. With the above sales figure, we can see that Toyota has got a 2X growth in sales. All thanks to the increasing popularity of newly launched models like the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Hycross and Hilux lifestyle vehicle. In fact, Toyota mentioned that Innova Hycross even bagged two awards. These are namely, Hybrid of the Year and Car of the Year, at the 2023 car&bike Awards this year.

Toyota Hilux Selling In Good Numbers

Toyota mentioned that the strong upward sales figure reflects the company’s customer alignment. There’s also an ever-growing product popularity range with the latest launches like Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Hycross and the Hilux. And thus, Toyota will aim to continue to support the strong sales momentum in their respective segments. Toyota also talked about the popularity of the Hilux, in particular. The lifestyle pick-up truck continues to grow and attract customers all over India.

Toyota Sales On The High

As for the year-to-date sales for the 2023 calendar year, between January and May, Toyota’s total sales stood at 82,763 units. This compares to the 58,505 units sold during the same period back in 2022. Thus the company saw a Y-o-Y growth of 42 per cent.
