Toyota Kirloskar Motors confirms that it has started partial resumption of operation at its Bidadi plant starting from today. The company also mentioned that it would operate at the prescribed workforce strength of 50 per cent following the Covid-19 guidelines. The operations in the plant will also adhere to all State and Central Government directives.
The Japanese car manufacturer made it very clear that they continuously monitor the situation and make decisions as and when required. The manufacturing process will also take all possible Covid-19 related measures, thus safeguarding the employees and the workforce. TKM said that it would revamp the production of new cars to fulfil the market demand.

Along with Maruti Suzuki, Toyota will start their vehicle dismantling and recycling centre located in Noida next month. Both car manufacturers have 50 per cent equity in this dismantling centre. This is in line with the Central Government’s ‘Vehicle Scrappage Policy’ which aims to remove all the old vehicles plying on Indian roads.
