Toyota India And Its Road Ahead

Recently, we learned that Toyota had trademarked the names’ Hilux’ and ‘Hilux Revo in India. We are assuming that the company is planning to bring in pickup trucks around the festive season. If launched, Hilux will go head to head with the Isuzu D-Max, which has a sticker price starting at INR 17.05 lakh.

Along with Maruti Suzuki, Toyota will start their vehicle dismantling and recycling centre located in Noida next month. Both car manufacturers have 50 per cent equity in this dismantling centre. This is in line with the Central Government’s ‘Vehicle Scrappage Policy’ which aims to remove all the old vehicles plying on Indian roads.
