Toyota has finally launched the Yaris sedan in India at prices starting from INR 8.75 lakh. This new C2 segment sedan rivals the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz & Hyundai Verna.

Powering the Toyota Yaris is only a petrol engine option. Toyota is not planning to introduce a diesel engine on the Yaris in India. The gasoline motor is a 1.5L, 4-cylinder block which produces 107 HP of power and 140 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-step CVT gearbox option.
In terms of safety, the Yaris comes with 7-airbags, front and rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes, hill-start assist, ABS with EBD & ESP.
