Toyota Kirloskar Motors has launched the Toyota Innova Crysta Leadership Edition in the Indian market priced at INR 21.21 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The Toyota Innova MPV has been in the Indian market since 2005 and the brand has sold more than 9 lakh units of the popular MPV.
The brand has termed the Leadership Edition to honour the 15 years of leadership in the MPV segment. The Leadership Edition is based on the Toyota Innova Crysta VX model which was launched back in 2016 and the new edition model features cosmetic changes to the exterior and interior of the MPV.
In terms of its exterior styling, the Innova Crysta Leadership Edition comes with dual-tone exterior paints in a combination of Pearl White with Black and Red with Black. Apart from the new paint theme the Innova Crysta Leadership Edition also comes with a new front grille in piano black and chrome embellishments, a splitter styled front bumper, a diffuser styled rear bumper with chrome accents, rock guards on the sides with chrome inserts and ‘Leadership Edition’ badging. The Innova Crysta also features automatic projector LED headlamps, chrome window lining, chrome door handle, L-shaped tail lights with aero fins, shark fin antenna, puddle lamps etc.
On the interior, the Innova Crysta Leadership Edition comes with Exclusive Leadership Edition Insignia on the seats, silver linings and wooden embellishment on the dashboard, leather-wrapped steering wheel, blue illuminated instrument cluster with a TFT multi-information display, personal reading lights in the second row, leather-wrapped gear lever, illuminated and cooled glove box, automatic climate control and comes in a 7-seater layout with captain seats in the second row.
The Leadership Edition will be available with a diesel-only powertrain which is a BS6 emission compliant 2393cc 4-Inline Cylinder Common Rail Turbocharged Diesel with Intercooler equipped with a Variable Nozzle Turbocharger, 16 Valve, DOHC that produces 150 PS of power and 343 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox and comes with two driven modes – ECO and Power.
