Toyota car prices going up in July 2023, already overpriced?

According to recent reports, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has implemented price hikes. This is for its entire range of vehicles starting from July 5, 2023. The decision to raise prices comes from escalating input costs and the need to counterbalance the surge in raw material expenses. While the specific percentage increase for each model. It has not been officially disclosed. Thus customers can anticipate a slight price hike that will vary across models and variants.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor offers a diverse range of vehicles. The list includes the likes of the Glanza, UC Hyryder, Innova Hycross, Fortuner, Legender, Vellfire, and Land Cruiser LC300. The luxury brand under Toyota, Lexus, has also recently raised prices for the ES 300h. This is by up to two per cent, citing similar reasons for the adjustment.

In a statement, the automaker emphasized its commitment to catering to the evolving needs of the market. Meanwhile minimizing the impact of cost increases on customers. This marks Toyota’s second price hike in the current fiscal year. The previous increase occurred in May and affected all models in the lineup, with hikes of up to INR 60,000.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder now begins at INR 10.86 lakh. While the Fortuner range starts at INR 32.99 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India). Toyota Brings In Yet Another Model To The India Market

Toyota will introduce the Maruti Ertiga-based Rumion MPV in India around September this year. The carmaker already sells the Rumion in markets like South Africa, and, like its export version, the Indian model too will be built and supplied by Maruti Suzuki.
