Toyota car prices going up by up to 4% from 1st April 2022

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that it will increase the prices of the range of models. Effective from 4th April, Toyota India’s entire range of products will see a price hike of up to 4 per cent. Toyota mentioned the rising input cost, including the raw materials, compelled them to take this decision. This announcement is in line with other car manufacturers who announced their price hike. The list includes the likes of BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Tata Motors and more.

Toyota Glanza 2022 Is Here

Toyota Recently unveiled the updated 2022 Glanza. Similar to the facelift Baleno update that came just a month back, the Glanza also gets some cosmetic and hardware changes. The bookings for the model are now open, and customers can book the hatchback by paying INR 11,000. The engine is now the new K series 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine that comes with Dual Jet, Dual VVT technology from Suzuki. Moreover, this engine also claims a fuel efficiency of 22+ kmpl. In terms of gearbox, both Glanza and Baleno have dumped the CVT and brought in an AMT.

To ensure a hassle-free ownership experience, Toyota is providing a warranty of 3 years/100,000 km upgradeable up to 5 years/220,000 km. In terms of features as well, this iteration is a bog set up from the outgoing model. Interiors now look much more modern, with the main highlight being the new touchscreen infotainment system. Other key features include dual-tone alloy wheels with a machine finish, Head-up Display and a 360-degree camera, Hey Toyota Voice Assistant and more.

For the recent month, i.e. February 2022, the carmaker posted a total sales volume of 8,745 units. Fortuner and Innova continue to propel sales in their respective segments. Meanwhile, Glanza and Urban Cruiser add a substantial number. Toyota’s flagship sedan offering, the Camry Hybrid, is looking quite strong in terms of sales units. Now with the newly updated Glanza, we can expect the figure to go up in the coming months.
