Tork Kratos R gets new ECO+ ride mode with 150+ km range

Tork Motors has updated its electric motorcycle – the Kratos R. The electric bike maker has released a new riding mode that is said to increase its range.

Tork Kratos R’s Eco+ Mode : Mode Details

According to the company, the new Eco+ mode will enable riders to travel over 150 km on a single charge. This figure is quite a bit high from the claimed 120 km. Furthermore, the 150 km figure is also closer to the IDC range of 180 km. That said, the top speed of the electric motorcycle in the Eco+ mode is restricted to 35 km/h.

Tork Motors has said that owners can use the Eco+ mode for using the electric bike in the city. Or in scenarios where the top speed is not of much concern. The new Eco+ mode joins the other bike modes of Eco, City and Sport. In Sport mode, the Kratos R reaches its top speed of 105 km/h.

Additionally, the company has also released a new reverse mode on the motorcycle that allows better manoeuvrability while parking.

Tork Kratos R : More Details

The high-speed electric motorcycle from Tork Motors offers a top speed of 105 kmph in the case of the Kratos R. Furthermore, the highly-efficient Axial Flux motor and 4 kWh battery pack make up to 9 kW of peak power and 38 Nm of torque. For better reliability and durability, the battery pack is water-resistant, and the smart BMS records data from 4 different temperature sensors, voltage and current for real-time analytics.

The Kratos R offer an IDC range of 180 km. However, as per Tork Motors, both can achieve 120 km in Eco mode, 100 km in City mode and 70 km in Sports mode. When it comes to charging speeds, both variants take 4 to 5 hours to charge using the off-board 750 W charger. Additionally, the Kratos R supports Fast Charging. With this, the Kratos R can go charge from 0 to 80 per cent in just 60 minutes. Tork Motors also offers 2 years of free charging network access with the Kratos R.

As for suspension, it uses telescopic forks and a monoshock at the rear. Both variants also get disc brakes at both ends. The Kratos rides on 17-inch wheels with a 90-section front and a 120-section rear tyre. The electric bike tips the scales at 140 kg. Meanwhile, it has a ground clearance of 165 mm.
