‘The Centennial’ is Hero MotoCorp’s Karizma-based special edition on auction

Hero MotoCorp is paying tribute to the company’s Founder Chairman, Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal on the completion of one year of his centennial anniversary. The brand will thus offering “The Centinnial”, a collector’s edition motorcycle. In honour of Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal, the company will be offering only 100 meticulously handcrafted units of the Karizma XMR based ‘Centennial’.

How Can I Get One?

Hero MotoCorp has revealed that the 100 units will be auctioned to employees, associates, business partners, and stakeholders by invitations only. Furthermore, the proceedings from the auction will be utilised for the greater good of the society. In addition to this the brand will be celebrating 100 days of customer and employee engagements held across its facilities and dealership network. This will not only be limited to the Indian market but the global market as well.

Also, during this time, customers who’d purchase any Hero two-wheeler will be eligible to receive a 100% cash back. The brand also announced that the  offer is available for a limited number of 100 vehicles.

But, you can still get the Centennial by taking part in the My Hero, My Story’ campaign. Hero will be inviting its customer, where they can share anecdotes of their journey with the brand. A panel of diverse experts will evaluate the submissions and the top entries will be rewarded with the Centennial.  

What is the Hero MotoCorp Centennial Motorcycle?

The Hero MotoCorp’s Centennial is a Karizma XMR-based custom motorcycle which has been designed a developed at the Hero Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in India and the Hero Tech Centre in Germany (TCG).

The Centennial has been crafted using carbon fibre and milled aluminium. The Hero Centennial uses carbon fibre body panels, a specially developed, machined, and anodised, handlebars, handlebar mounts, triple clamps, and rear-set foot pegs. 

But the enhancements are not only limited to the aesthetic bit, but also to its mechanical parts. The Centennial also gets a lightweight aluminium swingarm, a 43-mm upside-down front suspension with damping adjustment and a gas-charged, fully adjustable mono-shock from Wilbers to improve its agility. The motorcycle also features a top-of-the-line carbon fibre and titanium exhaust system by Akrapovic to enhance its performance. 

Hero MotoCorp has announced that the deliveries of ‘The Centennial’ will begin in September 2024.
