Ducati has announced that the Scrambler marque has collaborated with The Bridge School, India (TBS). Under the partnership, a specially crafted program called TBS-Scrambler Ducati Industry Connect Programme will guide the top design skills of India. The objective of the collaboration is to groom future automotive designers via a hands-on process. This will heighten their confidence to advance into the global design ecosystem.

Ducati Scrambler Design

According to Ducati, the brand will reach a broad spectrum of Automotive design students through the flagship programme hosted by The Bridge School. Ducati has chosen the Scrambler brand due to its presence and recognition. When the brand launched the iconic motorcycle in 2015, the brand boasts that it disrupted the market with its design and aesthetics. The bike still enjoys a cult status and features an easily recognisable and well-defined silhouette.

The Bridge School Scrambler Ducati Industry Connect Programme

The Bridge School Scrambler Ducati Industry Connect Programme will focus mainly on research. The programme believes that “research is the key to design thinking”. Therefore, the programme will include brand immersion followed by deep design research. The programme will set straightforward goals which include “Setting clear design & business objectives”, creating new concepts. Students will make this at TBS under the guidance of their senior mentors.

What is the intention of the course?

The purpose of the course is for persons pursuing Automotive and Transportation Design or Master of Design. Also, students who love the Scrambler Ducati and a passion for motorcycles can join the course if eligible. The design of the course will sketch fresh minds into brand mandatories. The course is also in line with the user behaviour substantiating an emotional connection with the new Scrambler.

Who Can Join the Course?

The selection of the candidates takes place based on intellect, skills and aptitude. TBS is looking out for candidates who will whip up design ideas even in high-pressure environments. Students must have the propensity for “rapid sketching with lateral thinking”, and student portfolios and work samples will judge these factors.

How to join the TBS Scrambler programme?

Up to 20 students will be selected for the programme, and during the selection process, students will go through three rounds of funnelling. Step One will write a Statement of purpose in less than 150-200 words and upload a portfolio with less than ten slides of your work. Step Two is Sketch, and Problem Solving and Step Three is a personal interview.
