After struggling at the sales front for quite some time, Tata Motors has finally managed to attract customers to their dealerships. The recently launched Zest compact sedan has now received over 10,000 bookings within three weeks of launch.
Out of these booking figures, Tata Motors has delivered over 2,000 units of the vehicle. With 10,000 numbers already in the kitty, the Zest is all set to become the company’s best-selling product within a month of its launch. Tata Motors will be very pleased with this result and will after a long time have a product selling over the 10,000 sales number, if they deliver them all in this month itself.
Loaded with first-in-segment tech, the Zest deserves all that is happening right now. Reliability and durability will be something to be made note of in probably a years’ time.
The Zest is powered by a new 1.2L, segment first turbocharged, Revotron engine producing 90 PS of power and the diesel is powered by the 1.3L Quadrajet engine producing 75 PS and 90 PS of power. Which the petrol and diesel motors are available with a manual transmission, the diesel also gets an AMT, which is currently commanding a high waiting period. Overall waiting periods are around three to four months right now.
Coming next is the Tata Bolt hatchback. And with this, Tata would be planning to achieve level of success and market penetration right from the launch.
